FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y., Aug. 25 -- Lindsay Davenport skipped the French Open, then withdrew from Wimbledon just hours before her scheduled second-round match. The pain in her injured right knee had become too much to play through, halting the momentum she had gained by playing well after her comeback.
