NY man loses prosthetic leg while skydiving

An upstate New York man says he's still upbeat despite losing the same leg twice. Scott Listemann told the Poughkeepsie Journal that he laughs about losing his foot and lower leg "both the first time and the second time."

Yay for him, still living it up. I suppose it may be too late to say DUCK? I hope it didn't hit anyone. Yikes.

Well I guess the high price of gas is hitting everyone these days - enen recreational flying and sky diving.

It costs this guy a leg just to have fun

On the other hand, kudos to him for continuing to do what he loves

I supose that would explain the big foot tracks. Once that hits the ground cause the foot is the heaviest...it's a theory.

Lost: Leg/foot someplace 20,000 miles above upper New York. Reward: we will throw YOU out of the plane, parachute extra.

I think, after a month, its probably not going to be found. He should have lo-jacked it!

Friend of mine lost his canopy one day doing aerobatics......... guy brought it back to the airport thinking it was part of the space shuttle..... Funny.......... So, how does one explain finding a foot in their back yard? Someone kick it off.

Oh yeah, had something like that happen to a fellow I know. Apparently the canopy landed on his house, well not so much fell as crashed through.

The day before, his family were all sitting at that dining room table, and it was totaled by the canopy! They did not usually use the dining room, so just 24 hours later... Frightening thought.

I bet the guy switched to skydiving after losing his leg in his previous hobby - motorcycle riding. He should definitely NOT take up woodcarving. He'd probably lose a hand or something.

Half a leg, half a leg,
Half a leg onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
'Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns!' he said:

Hey, they say that stunts can cost you an arm or a leg! Doesn't matter if it's plastic, right?
