Funny a religion with such a persecution complex would engage in such persecution. One word, BIGOTS

Oh, and a "gay mormon group"? How pathetic is that? Give it up boys, unless of course you are into S&M too.

It's not right for one group of people to create laws that affect another group of people. I thought we were all supposed to be equal. If we ever hope to acquire peace on earth, we must start here @ home. It is a basic human right that all are deserving of. The right to vote, wed, etc., should be for everyone of legal age.

You radical homosexual have no "right" to force your concocted, failed philosophy of homosexual "marriage" on an unwilling nation.

Prop 8 is about protecting marriage. The ripple effects go far beyond allowing gays to wed. Look at other states to see the effects of what happens, especially to children, when marriage is legalized for gays (MA). If the proposition passes, gays lose nothing in terms of tax benefits and rights. But the sanctity and importance of marriage should be preserved as being between one man and one woman, as 61% of CA voters stated just 8 years ago with Prop 22.

One of the very best reasons to support our GLB Communities in their fight for equal rights under the law; is simply because of the way Adolf Hitler, treated gays during The Holocaust of WWII.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_gay_m...

And of course for the Utah based LDS Church to persecute gays over the issue of marriage is rather strange since they were once persecuted by the US Government for their practice of polygamy.
In fact the US Govt sent General Johnston into Utah to force them to give up the practice.

In fact the Utah Mormons, had to give up polygamy before they could have the state of Utah admitted to the Union.

Yu obviously haven't studied Christian History, christians have practiced and honored same sex marriage before and probably will again. Why don't you click on the link, in the post above yours; and you'll be surprised what you'll learn.

Besides, who are you to tell others who their spouse ought to be?

Your personal beliefs about marriage are just that personal; what's right for you may not be right for someone else.

Seems to me that those of you who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

What percentage of heterosexual couples physically, sexually, or psychologically abuse one or the other, and how many abuse their own children? How many children abuse their siblings?

What percentage of straight couples get diviorced?

When heterosexual couples have a track record of 100% of their number having perfect marriages, with none of the above problems, then they might be in a position to criticize others.

Until then, why don't they just mind their own business.

It comes down to belief and faith. Members of the LDS church do believe that it is a commandment from our Heavenly Father that "Family" be between a man and a woman and this is the foundation of HIS plan.

Apparently you have not/don't live in the sacred land.

Try living in Utah as a non LDS human and see how you are treated. It is nice to see so many non LDS folks moving into Utah.
