How can you give 38 year QB a contract extension? This should be his last year in Tampa.

It's all a big misunderstanding. I don't want a contract extension, it's a penile extension.

Garcia thinks he can get a contract extension based on all the times last year that he sniffed Gruden's farts.
Good luck !..... Gruden falls in love with a new QB every year.

Wow what is Allen thinking if it wasnt for Garcia and Graham last year we would have been worthless.... and Graham is only going to make 600 thousand next season thats a joke.... RB is a brutal postion and to not get rightly compensated is ludacris..........I hope things change because i dont see Cadillac coming back real soon and Dunn is not an every down back...... We need EG and we moss deff need Jeff Garcia...... Yeah we have tons of QBs but you cant tell me that any of the QBs on the roster can make the kind of impact Garcia makes......

Could be a long long season without these two guys..... Hope Allen comes to his senses.........

Allen does what Gruden says, and right now he's being told to treat Garcia unfairly.

Garcia is a young 38, well able to play at a high level for several more years... if his heart is in it.

Gruden seems to have a way of screwing that level up commitment up.

So worried abour paying Garcia what he's worth, yet look at the other mutt quarterbacks he watsefully keeps on the roster - who will never play a down as a starter.

Garcia is good, but this journeyman actually has a good deal. He was very good last season with what he had to work with, but you have to remember that the 4-12 to 9-7 turnaround was not all do to him. A rejuvinated defense that finished top 5 in the NFL is the cause for this. At 38 years old, im not quite sure what kind of extension he is looking for or what team would give it to him. He's just looking for one last payday

Since when is a negotiated and signed contract suddenly invalid based on the first years performance of a two year deal? So he had a good year. He was paid to have a good year. If he had turned in a bad year would this years agreement been renegotiated down? Negotiate your best deal than stick with it. If you are unhappy with what might transpire in following years, don't sign it! But, you did, so honor it and have another good year THAN negotiate an extension to your liking. Millionaires playing a great, fun game, with fan adoration, go figure.

Garcia at best had poultry numbers last year, 2400 yards and 13 TD's in 14 games is more like a backups numbers. Heck McCown had 1000 yards and 5 TD's in 4 games. Time for Garcia to hit the road like he's done the past five seasons. I think Graham should get a raise, he did better than expected. But then again why did Tampa signed Dunn and give Bennett a long term contract? Lets face it Garcia was bought in because they weren't sure if Simms was able to return. Extention on a 38 year old QB?? lets get real here, CB and FS let our WR go after 40 yards because they knew Garcia couldn't reach them, Joey had to come back to the ball 7-8 times last year. I feel for Graham but not Garcia.
