I understand that Bryant was a first round draft choice of the Jaguars when Don Capers was the Head Coach...I respect Capers's defensive knowledge almost as much as I do B.Bs......
Capers must have been a catylist in the Patriots aquiring Bryant when he became availible !!!For that reason alone I think its a great move !!!Also my opinion of Ellis Hobbs as a starter is not the best!!! ENOUGH SAID !!!!

I just got a major craving for Kelly's fried clams and shrimp I'll have you know...Revere.
I hope you're right on with your intuition re:Bryant...I think you're right about Hobbs. Some guys you just feel like they could have a break-out year I just don't know if Hobbs has one coming...in this instance, lets hope we're both wrong.

OK, I agree with you on this so far everyone the Pats have signed as replacements for key players like Asantai Samuel and Junior Seau who are a bunch of has beens and never will be's whand are defenitially not the types of guys Bill Belitits likes to go after in free agency. Except for maybe Marcus Pollard who will only help the Pats when Ben Watson is injured. But I disagree with you on Ty Law since 2 years ago he was on fire against the Colts in the playoffs and has been a key factor in New England. The same goes for Kevin Jones, he is defenitally A Bill Belitits type of free agent. But I highly doubt either one signs with New England, because I don't think they can afford either and now it seems that when ever the Colts, Pats or now possibly even the Chargers go after a free agent, someone else steps in and steals that guy from them. Just look at Kevin Jones (RB-DET), the Pats were the first NFL team to look at him and now 5 other NFL teams are looking at him making it highly, highly unlikely for him to be playing in A pats uniform next season.

Bryant isn't the answer to a replacement for Randell Gay or Asantai Samuel and neither is Jason Webster or that other Willie guy.
