For a man of Juan's talent he has to be frustrated with the junk that Chip has been producing for him to drive. Whoever gets Juan is going to have a winner on their hands if they have some decent equipment.

JD Gibbs has gone on record saying that he will not let Tony out of his contract until it is up in 09.
Should be interesting to see what transpires and where Juan and Tony end up.

Tony has stated that he is looking to leave JGR for an opportunity to be a part owner and also still be a driver. This has been widely reported.

1 That's what I was thinking you know this came from an F-1 blog, lol. They aren't usually "up" on Nascar happenings. I would love to see Chip be competitive but I don't think he really cares about nascar while he's dominate in Indycar. He should give up or get with it. |

1 Actually what people are thinking is Tony plans on being part own of a team. If Jr moves JRM up to cup Mr Hendrick has to bow out due to having ownership for a 4 team garage. That would leave Jr looking for another partner and who would be a better fit than Tony. Tony would be back in a Chevy and a Chevy powered by HMS along with having a 50/50 ownership with Jr. Actually it doesn't sound too bad. I would have never thought this if it wasn't for Jr saying he may move his team to cup especially if Nationwide goes to a COT. |
