Good, stupid christians were probably wanting to bother people by throwing the bibles in their face while quoting some verse that says they're going to hell.

We get it, we've heard about Jesus, now shut up.

typical IGNORANCE by the posters...

FREE WILL is at the heart of Democracy.
This free will would include religion.

RED CHINA is just that, socialist.

US Officials should step in and demand in an international arena that this is not to be tolerated of US Citizens DURING THE OLYMPICS

The Chinese were astounded and upset that Americans possessed something that wasn't made in China.

They must feel that this is a conflict or a violation of the trade agreement that they have with the U.S. and are holding the bibles as evidence.

You can get a 5 year sentence jail if you carry a bible at Ryadh airport (Saudi Arabia), but I doubt that W. will raise the issue with his saudi buddies. Let's move on and enjoy those awsome games.Hypocrisy can wait another couple of weeks.

when religion is used as means to overthrow legitimite governments or excisting values are subverted by christian political activist,or a long standing history suggest that christians use there false doctrines as a means to subvert and overthrow longstanding political ties based on superstion, invidious deception or as a ploy to capitalize on the poor, it is not only the duty but a right of the government to stop this kind of invasion.

One more point those christians are unlucky they arent being arrested for smuggling that is what they hoped for, so they could make a big deal of it and get free publicity. In stead the chinese are just treating them as the non issue that they deserve to be treated as.

Here's a link for more of the story:
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5hPfcIeOcpx...

I don't know enough about this, but what's the problem? I mean it sayd that China doesn't ban bibles, but they have to be printed in China? ok I see the problem, by their lays it must be printed there and not imported, but why is that? Do they change some of it or something i their version?

I would guess they expected to be caught or else they wouldn't have brought 300 bibles in suitcases. People trying to smuggle items into a country usually try to conceal what they are smuggling. I think they knew they would be caught and did this was a deliberate attempt to draw attention and grab headines. It's working the way they planned so will be interesting to see if it disappears or turns into a big story.

THE JUST AND THE UNJUST

The just and the unjust shall clash as before
As both sides seek victory valor and more.
The tyrants of evil hate that which is good
Freedom, with justice, living life, as we should.

Where the oppressed suffer the heartless rule
Using murder, fear and torture as a tool.
With a twisted mind they cause others to die
Their souls are corrupted from living a lie.

At the end of their rain most are jailed or killed
The remains of their victims litter the field.
After death, they're judged through history by us all
Condemned for ignoring sweet liberty's call.

For as long as mankind has struggled on earth
Most seek a path, to show others their worth.
While the just feel compelled to defend what's right
The unjust ravage, plunder and kill with spite.
