With Belichick, the cover-up is most revealing

A taping controversy has cast Bill Belichick as a Nixonian figure: brilliant, needlessly paranoid, obsessed with victory. via Boston Globe

You have to take this article from where it comes. Boob Ryan is from Connecticut. He should report for the N.Y. Giants. He's an imposter and he doesn't speak for the Patriot Nation.

Hey Bob... truly pathetic writing. BB said all he felt was necessary
and to those of you who feel that he didn't say what you all wanted to
hear is just too bad. I'll wager that you lied awake in bed salivating
over the whole fiasco named Matt Walsh only to see him fail as most of us
expected him to do. If you really want a decent article... try this

Aw schucks Marc, your right. Cheating has and always will be going on in sports. Let's face it too, all forms of cheating are 100% equal, whether by player, coach, team or relative of such.
We should just be done with all this and throw the rule book out the window. As Marc is attempting to point out, all teams cheat all the time so what's all the fuss? Rules only get in the way anyway. Hey, while were at it, why don't we just make the game a 60 minute free for all in which anything goes? I mean, as long as all sins are of equal value, and everyone sins and equal amount, just put the ball in the middle of the field and say go for it.
I mean if Marc was the commissioner, when a team or player violated a rule, Marc's reply to the forsaken party would be "Life isn't fair. Cheating is a tool for success not a sin since as long as one team does it, we might as well assume that all teams stoop to the same levels. Therefore, I should not punish the offender if I can't punish them all. Learn how to cheat and you won't have to cry about it."

Couldn't have said it better myself, Jopa. What astounds me is the article that this forum is based on was written by a Globe columnist, not someone from another part of the country, or ESPN. This is the opinion of a Boston resident and Pats fan.

Here's another point to ponder: If its o.k. to violate certain rules in the rule book that can alter the outcome of a game, then holding per say, should not be a penalty since its a simalar attempt to alter the outcome of the game. Right?

It is the logical progression of that line of thinking. However, in their heart-of-hearts, I think Patriot Nation really knows what transpired was wrong and are embarrassed by it, regardless of how they spin it.

Oh, it's so funny how the Pats fan had that link just ready to go. Probably has it memorized by now. It's an absolute travesty, they way Bill was able to handle that whole situation. Just basically slapped all of us football fans in the mouth. Just so condescending and arrogant, exactly what was expected.
I was trying to get this convo going the other day. I hate the Patriots, I hate Tom Brady, I hate Bill, I'm even starting to hate Rodney. I still don't think Specter needs to get hiscongress buddies to do MLB stlye witch hunt on it. It's the last thing I, as a taxpayer, want to see. And believe me, I want Bill to go down in a ball of flames more than anyone.
I think it sucks for football, what happened. It sucks for the Patriot fans. They wait all this time to get a franchise that scares people, then this gets thrown over the whole thing. I know I for one, will always have a little skepticism in the back of my mind everytime I think of this team. And I feel like Bill deserves at least that for the "matter of fact" way he swept this under the rug. "Misinterpreted" That's sooooo great. I've been using it in my life, it doesn't seem to get me out of things as easy as it did Bill.

Wrong again Jr., DeDe Dorsey went back to the Cincy Bengals or should I say Convicts were he belongs. As for Harrison, well his case is pretty much closed since no one is pressing charges against him and he was NEVER ARRESTED like Nick Kazcur and possibly Kevin Faulk were!!!!!!! So I'd say Marvin Harrison was framed. Keep up the good work though dumb loser 18* and DONE without CHEATING Pats fan!!!!!!!!!!

Friggin hilarious !!!! I am amazed that you could draw the conclusion you drew from what I wrote... You are a special child and I so hope that they start putting seatbelts in those little yellow buses that you obviously have bumped around in far too long. And see now you have TMD (To Mentally Disturbed) and the last worthless1 sucking on your bottle of Kool-aid.

Certainly took you long enough to respond. I had to go back and look at your previous post just to get back in the swing of what you were talking about.
Marc, your anger though, should be addressed at some point. I know, I know, Bill cheated and tainted the very things that you treasure the most as a fan. I know, you feel a need to stand at his side and protect that which you covet so greatly. It makes you feel sick but you have to swallow and pretend the ills forced upon you are of no real consequence. Sort of like when the rich husband cheats on the wife. She has to pretend it dosen't bother her because of what she feels she stands to lose if says the truth.
Your gems have already been tainted and tattered. You can't go back. Let the healing begin.

of course there's a lot of nonsense here...not unexpected however, considering the source...

son, you really need to observe the postage stamp, its usefullness lies in its ability to stick to one thing until it gets there...
