Cubs Win

Cubs Win

Holy Cow

That was a very good series.

Game #1 had a dramatic homerun from a guy who struggled throughout the year.

Game #2 had great pitching from both sides. Marlins bullpen got outs when they needed them.

Game #3 had strong pitching from Volstad and Dempster, but the Marlin bullpen just cave in. Lots of action towards the end of the game.

Why did the Marlins manager let a left-hander in to pitch to Ramirez? That was a major mistake!

Why was Baker still in the game against Cotts?

Freddi has weak point in his job, and that is when to get someone up in the bullpen. He does not look ahead of who comes up to bat.

It was great to have the largest crowds of the year at the ballpark this weekend.

O.K., the Marlins can go back and start winning again in San Francisco this week. Lets see if the Marlins can beat the **** by the Bay.

Cub Nation renamed Dolphin Stadium this weekend as Wrigleyville South. Best fans are Cub fans.

I suspect that Bullshark is one of those Man-a-tee dancers!

Those guys make me laugh.

Marlin fans were no match to the Cub fans this weekend. We outnumbered you, out shouted you, and out drank you.

Hey Chicago wadda you say

Cubs are going to win today.

Go Cubs Go

The season is over for them.

It is between the Mets and the Phillies now.

My money is on the Phillies.

Freddi really stepped up and made the tough decision today, of pulling Pinto after he only gave up 6 runs. GREAT JOB FREDDI!!! WAY TO KEEP US IN THE GAME!

how many years since the last world series win? what the marlins record vs the cubs the last few years? whats the cubs payroll? the fish just don't have it. uggla and jacobs are crap. pathetic actually. why does dodobird fredi continue to play jacobs? helms is a better hitter, fielder, and all around better baseball player. pinto is terrible as usual. i'm sure joe nelson or arthur rhodes would have pitched if asked. rhodes threw what 4 pitches last night?? i swear these guys look for ways to lose the game. that hop that went over cantu was nasty, he would have had that and turned 2 and been out of the inning...sucks. other than uggla, jacobs, and pinto, the rest of the team played well. they each contributed huge to the loss.

one question cubbies...if you love chicago so much....What are you doing here? Please leave!!

Horrible loss. The minute I saw Pinto get up in the bullpen I knew it was going to end badly. Why does Fredi keep trotting out his top batting practice pitcher when he's got Rhodes, who has been effective all year, in the pen for lefthanded relief? Does Fredi maybe have a gas generator in his skull that runs on brain *****rts?

Ah well, at least the impending tropical storm or Hurricane Fay will take my mind off of this Keystone Kops act for a few days. Once we get the shutters closed, I plan to lay back and celebrate the Marlins' west coast road trip by re-reading "Blood Meridian" by flashlight. When I re-emerge, I hope there'll be enough electricity available to see how the Fish are managing out west.

let me tell you how BAD FREDI GONZALEZ IS-----I'm out of town in Texas watching this game on WGN cable and EVEN the Cubs announcers were curious WHY he leaves Pinto in to pitch to Ramirez. This is damn awful watching Gonzalez manage this team....Pinto has 10.34 ERA the last ten games....so instead of bring the guy Rhodes who you just traded for these same situations----he AGAIN brings piece of GARBAGE PINTO in....
If it wasn't for the loud CUB fans...you would've heard 12,000 boos.
WAY TO FREDI---keep running him out there!!!!!!!!!! EVERY MARLINS FAN KNEW WHAAT WAS COMING WHEN HE CAME IN---THIS GUY NEVER HOLD A LEAD

Freddi finally used LoDuca but to no gain, but left Hammer, Traenor and Helms on the bench? After Jake and Uggla struck out for the third time each, why not at least try someone else? What could it hurt?

What happened to the fish? Good Ol' Jeffrey...you get what you paid for.
Bullpen sucks. Uggla's head is up you know what after getting pickd for the all star game ... oh that's right he sucked there to. When will Hermida become the player he is supposed to be? Jacobs...why do you the Mets parted ways with him a couple of years ago....It's pretty obvious that he is not an everyday player. 4 1/2 games back...it will be a tough road to climb, but at least the season was fun while it lasted.

I'm irked as hell watching Jacobs and Uggla strike out 90% of the time. They both need to come off the steroids and get back to the basics. Gonzalez has to stretch his starters we don't have any middle pitchers and a half **** closer.
