Vick's state dogfighting trial set for June -- Human Interest, ...

I don't think this could ever happen as the hatred of this sadistic beast is overwhelming and to honor him would be adding fuel to the fire which is still burning.Furthermore, it would denote that the brutal torture and killing of animals is accepted as being a normal act in the U.S.

Surry trial will be a joke!

Under VA laws, attending a dogfight alone can land you in the pen for 5 years + a $20K fine which a White Ret. Army female got in Richmond for doing far less than STD Vick!

Surry County’s role was to uphold justice, but they did not. They tried to sweep it up & disregard it. Poindexter & Brown were hoping it would go away! Poindexter was more like STD Vick's defense attorney that the DA! Failed to act on warrants & divulged warrant properties.
Vick would have been better off from a defense standpoint had his friend Poindexter charged him vs. the Federal Gov! Poindexter & Brown were probably at the dogfights. They were never going to charge STD Vick until the feds stepped in!

Let's hope PETA shows up in force with their supporters for the trial. I plan on going and my animals want to go also!!:-) They want to see vic AND his possee member ole gerry. Let the charade, opps, trial begin!!

Sure will be interesting to see how Poindexter manages to slap him on the wrist while patting him on the back. I doubt Vick will get any jail time out of this. I hope I have to eat my words.

Dog fighting is actually two life forms in a ring while both parties are trying to hurt each other. Now lets take the sport of Boxing. Same thing, same scenario. Ray Lewis killed someone. He made the cover of the Video Game Madden Football and made millions. He's Michael Vick, and we want to destroy everything about him, so he can never make anything out of himself. The man is serving his time, and I'm sure he is paying for it. He will live that punishment out the remainder of his life whether in prison or not. At least give the man a slight chance at putting some kind of life for himself when he finishes his prison term. Grow some jewels and quit letting SPCA and PITA push you around, or you to worried about being re-elected next term. You may actually have to work like the rest of us millions of Americans. Big difference Kurt - Boxers chose to box, and they make money at it. Dogs are made to fight (no choices there), and don't get anything but a one way ticket to six feet under. No comparison. That's the point. He got plenty of money being the brilliant athlete he is. And he should be punished just like anyone else who did this.

Except boxers have a CHOICE re: whether or not to fight. They aren't forced. They do not usually fight to the death. And, the loser isn't electocuted, shot, drowned, beaten to death, or hanged.

Nobody destroyed Vick, but Vick. He's the one who needs to grow a set! As Judge Hatchett says, "Men who like to hurt are very SMALL, very LITTLE men. It doesn't take much of a man to torture to death something that can't hurt him back!

If Vick gorws up and mans up, and behaves like a responsible adult, after he gets out, a lot of people will forgive him. And, a lot of people won't. He knew that, but did it for more than six years, anyway. All he had to do was act like an adult, and play his best game. Most people can manage that.

PETA isn't pushing anyone around. Most people don't like sadists. That's all there is to it. ESPECIALLY sadists who prey on children or animals, in that order. Those are the two hot-button victim populations. Because neither can defend themselves or call the cops. Both are essentially voiceless.

And, little kids who LOVE their pets are especially hurt.

And, who can love and admire a guy who is just that MEAN?
