God Frbide! The DOT who can not manage the rail systems and the normal highways is getting into construction now??? Man are We, state taxpayers, going to be taken for a good ole fashion hayride!! Watch out for the bumps and hang onto your wallets and purses!! If they go to the rest stops what they have managed to do with the rails and highway bridges, then we deserve to be fleeced once again for the special contractors they hire and the missing money that always happens to find it in someones pocket. Not all are that way, but prove to me the present crowd runing DOT really cares about the users of what they are responsible to maintain. The bridges are a disgrace and the sides of the highways look like crap! They do not cut weeds anymore, just let them grow tall and call them trees. The only reason Exxon Mobile is selling their station on the highways is there is MORE MONEY in charging an Independent owner for the same gas and diesel then running it themselves!!!$11+ Billion in profits isn't enough is it??
IF the do start re-doing the stops, the first thing they should do is move the gas price signs to before the area so drivers have a choice as to whether to stop there or go on to the next exit; now it is oops, I missed out as the sign is hidden in various ways and half way to the exit of the area itself so you can not decide fast enough. Whatever happens, you can count a more money coming out of YOUR pocket to do it!!!!!!!!!! And get more than ONE Restaurant (McD's) to run ALL the restaurants on the highways - competion is better for pricing and value.
