So you are saying he was good at being a dog killer? Many people take this very seriously. I take it very seriously also. i would like to see the Falcons play with out a dog killer on the team or anyone that sympathizes with him.

Rebecca yes i am saying he was good at both 3 pro bowls and 23 months in jail i'd say he was good at both. I dont sympathize with him for waht he has done I sympathize with him for what he has lost...I think it is sad.

He seems to be good at obtaining great things and then is good at throwing them away. But killing dogs is not something to be "good"at.

I have to ask you a question... Now keep in mind this is not to become confrontational only to understand your mindset. When you say you sympathize with him for what he has lost, what do you mean exactly?

He probably didn't mean for it to come out that way. I hope not at least.

I agree with you and I don't think anyone would hire a sadistic animal torturer on their team. His football career is over and he deserves no sympathy whatsoever. No from me anyway.

I think he meant (if I'm not wrong) that it's too bad that such athletic gifts are paired with such faulty judgement, andf such character flaws. He's a great runner. Vick has a powerful arm. He is, as one writer said, "A genetic lottery winner." If he had character ad self-discipline, Vick might have become great.

I think Vick Fan understands the difference between the persona and the person.

How about the dogs that were tortured and killed to death. Do you sympathize with them too? NOW, THAT'S WHAT I CALL "SAD". Again, what he has lost is nothing compared to the lives of dogs that did not deserve to be tortured to death by a sadistic beast.

He should have been a running back. QBs are all about decision making.

Good question, Lanie. I asked him the same question. I am assuming that it is his career, money, contracts, etc., that he is referring to. And he feels sad about MV's losses. Does he feel as sad and sympathizes about the lives of poor innocent animals that MV took of hundreds upon hundreds of innocent animals by torturing them to death?

Vik didn't LOSE anything. He threw them away. Against the advice of Blank and Goodell.

I sympathize with him because regardless of what people say about him he was probably the most athletic guy to ever play the game and he threw it all away for a dog fighting operation. I am a little bit selfish and I miss watching him play, when i root for a player i am 100% for that player not the team, like when M Jordan left basketball i quit watching, except for one game because everyone hyped up lebron james to be the next MJ and I havent watched since. I feel like he let me down because he was "my" guy. when he broke his ankle during the preseason that one year I had probably 20 calls on my phone from my friends telling me to turn on espn, I didnt answer them because I didnt want to hear it, same thing happened when he plead guilty. he just let his fans down. my dad and my grandfather used to say Ali would whip tyson anyday. Ali was the guy from their era that in their words "was the best ever" I just root for him to get better because he is my Ali and to me he is the best ever regardless what his passer rating was. not only me but, he let my son down (7 yr) i coach 1st and 2nd grade football and last year we went out and he had to have the MV cleats because he says "they feel like I can run faster" two days later he plead guilty, so then I had to set him down and explain to him what MV did and give him the option to take the shoes back or not, that was tough. He kept the shoes and had to deal w/ the backlash at practice but he handled it like a champ. "he made mistakes and is now paying for it" was his reply

That's tough! Especially on your son. But, he seems a very mature and intelligent seven.

A champion isn't always a hero, unfortunately.

I would say so including bait dogs, cats, etc. He did this longer than 7 years. He didn't just wake up one day and think about dogfighting.
